COAST - PORTFOLIO I
Coast is an ongoing series of images from the east coast of the North Island spanning from the Bay of Plenty around the East Cape down through the Hawkes Bay, Wairarapa to Lake Ferry.
It was not a conscious decision to make a set of images from the coast and I didn’t know that I was so drawn to it until I realised that I had an affinity for this fluid environment. It is quite a visceral thing. I’m not a great swimmer and I don’t surf, but I do enjoy being away from my busy business life, being one with the wind, the water and only the rocks for company.
